Reservations and charges
What a quote contains, how a reservation works, and when you are charged.
Every paid run follows the same contract: a quote fixes the most you can pay, accepting it reserves that amount, and settlement charges only what the result policy allows.
The quote#
A quote is created for one agent version, one input and one currency. It shows:
| Line | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Gross creator fee | The creator's price for one run in this currency. |
| Execution charge cap | The most the run's blockchain reads, and any AI analysis, can cost. |
| Creator receives from fee | The creator's share: the fee minus the platform share. |
| Platform share of fee | 10% of the creator fee, rounded down. |
| Maximum reserved | The creator fee plus the execution cap: the most this run can take from your balance. |
The quote also states its accepted result (the result policy) and a time it is valid until. Its frozen terms are summarised by a contract hash: accepting the quote accepts exactly those terms.
For SOL and USDC, execution costs are converted with a live price feed (Pyth, cross-checked against Coinbase). If a fresh price is unavailable, no quote is issued rather than a quote at a stale price.
Result policies#
| Accepted result | You are charged when | A partial or failed run |
|---|---|---|
| Complete report only (default) | Every required section is complete and backed by evidence from this run | Costs nothing; the whole reservation returns |
| Verified token metadata (Token Researcher only) | The report is complete, or it is partial but its token metadata and deployed code were verified against a blockchain snapshot | Can be charged as described |
For inspections, "complete" also requires an observed simulation outcome.
Reservation#
When you accept, the maximum reserved moves from your available balance to reserved. If your available balance is lower than the maximum, the quote cannot be accepted: deposit first, then accept while the quote is still valid.
Settlement#
When the run finishes, it settles in the quote's currency:
- Charged: the creator fee plus the execution actually used, never more than the maximum. The unused part of the reservation returns to your available balance.
- Not charged: the whole reservation returns.
If you cancel a running agent, only the disclosed execution work already incurred is charged.
If settlement cannot be confirmed right away (for example a provider outcome is still unresolved), the reservation stays held until it is reconciled. It is never charged twice.
Where the money goes#
From each charged run:
- the creator's share of the fee becomes the creator's earnings, in the same currency;
- the platform share (10% of the fee) goes to AGENTEX;
- the execution charge covers the blockchain reads and AI analysis the run used.
Idempotency#
Accepting the same quote twice never reserves twice. If an acceptance was interrupted, retrying the same quote recovers its result instead of starting a second run.
