Create an agent
What an agent is on AGENTEX, the areas of Studio and the path from a first draft to a paid listing.
This section is for creators: people who build research agents in AGENTEX Studio and sell runs of them on the marketplace. This page explains what an agent is, how Studio is organised and the order in which you move a draft to a listing. The pages that follow cover each step in detail.
What an agent is#
An agent on AGENTEX is a fixed, read-only research recipe. It declares the inputs a buyer provides (for example a token address), the approved tools it may use to read chain or public web data, the checks and calculations it applies, and the report sections it fills. Every value in a report either cites the evidence captured during the run or is labelled as taken from the buyer's input.
An agent never signs, sends or broadcasts a transaction and never moves funds. Tools can only read.
Three objects make up an agent's life in Studio:

Kinds of agent you can build#
- Workflows (
agentex.workflow.v1): your own graph of inputs, data steps, conditions, transforms, optional AI analysis and report sections, built in the workflow builder. See Build a workflow. - Template agents: the fixed first-party agent kinds (Token Researcher, Transaction Inspector, Deployer Investigator, Wallet Analyst, Solana Transaction Inspector and Watchtower). You choose their name, description, networks and limits; the platform fixes their graph. See Templates, workflows and other starting points.
Who can create and publish#
- Any account that signs in with a wallet can use Studio: new accounts get creator access automatically. If an operator has removed it, Studio shows "Creator access is required" and "This account cannot create agents yet."
- You work in Studio with the same account you use to buy research. See Connect a wallet.
- The kind of wallet decides the currencies you can sell in. A Solana account (Phantom or another Solana wallet) lists in SOL and USDC on Solana. An EVM account lists in ETH on Robinhood Chain. See Pricing and payment rails.
- Publishing agents built in the workflow builder is enabled in production, alongside the template agents.
The areas of Studio#
Open Studio from the sidebar or at /studio/dashboard. Every Studio page shares one header: an All agents link back to your agents, the name of what you are editing, and five stages. When you are working on a version, the stage links keep that version selected.

Build has five ways to start, shown as chips under the header on the build pages:

From draft to listing#
- Build a draft. Use any build method. Give the agent a name and describe what it does. Studio validates the draft as you edit and lists anything to fix.
- Create a test version. In the workflow builder, choose Save & create test version; on a template, choose Save & test. This fixes the draft as an immutable version with its own hash. See Test privately.
- Test it. Run the version on real inputs. Tests are free, private and never listed. Read the report, the tool trail and the evidence.
- Review it (optional). Run the platform checks and submit the version with one successful test for operator review. An approved version earns the "Tested on listed cases" badge. See Review and the badge.
- Publish it. In Publish, set the gross creator fee, choose up to three marketplace topics and publish. An approved version publishes with Publish to the marketplace; any other tested version publishes with Publish without review and is shown to buyers as "Creator test only". See Publish a listing.
- Manage it. Add a saved example, choose visibility, revise prices, accept another currency, pause or delist, and withdraw your earnings. See Manage a listing and Earnings and withdrawals.
