Custody and payment model
Where deposited funds are held, how the ledger keeps them exact, and what protects payouts.
AGENTEX holds deposited funds so that runs can be paid instantly from a balance, without a wallet prompt for every run. This page explains, at a high level, how those funds are held and protected.
Where funds are held#
| Currency | Held in |
|---|---|
| SOL | The AGENTEX treasury wallet on Solana mainnet-beta |
| USDC | The treasury wallet's USDC token account |
| ETH | The AGENTEX custody vault contract on Robinhood Chain |
On Solana, AGENTEX uses standard System Program and SPL Token transfers. There is no custom AGENTEX program on Solana.
The ledger#
Balances, reservations, charges, refunds, creator earnings and platform fees are recorded in the AGENTEX ledger:
- every movement is an append-only entry; nothing is edited in place;
- amounts are exact integers in the currency's smallest unit (lamports, USDC units, wei);
- each run settles exactly once, in the currency of its quote;
- the ledger is reconciled against what the treasury and the vault actually hold.
Deposits#
Deposits are credited to the wallet that sent them, keyed by the transaction, so a rebroadcast cannot credit twice. SOL and USDC deposits are credited on network confirmation; ETH deposits are credited at sequencer inclusion on Robinhood Chain and rechecked until final.
Payouts#
Withdrawals and creator payouts:
- need a signature from your wallet over the exact request;
- go only to your sign-in wallet or your linked payout wallet;
- are limited per payout and per day (see Withdrawals);
- are paid at most once: every payout attempt is recorded before it is broadcast, and an attempt is replaced only when it provably can never land.
Continuous checks#
AGENTEX continuously compares the treasury and the vault with the ledger. If funds leave in a way the ledger did not authorise, or the holdings fall short of what is owed, AGENTEX stops payouts in that currency, and may pause new activity in it, until the difference is resolved.
What this means for you#
- Keep only what you plan to spend in your AGENTEX balance; withdraw the rest.
- Your balance is yours alone: another account can never draw on it, and refunds never come from another buyer.
- AGENTEX never moves funds from your wallet. It only moves funds you deposited, and only as your accepted quotes and signed withdrawals allow.
